Got Rummage? Want to help kids?
They Are One, a local nonprofit, is excited to bring back their annual rummage sale! And they NEED YOU! Will you please give them two hours (or more?) of your time on March 22nd or 23rd? Invite your friends and family too! On Friday, they will be loading up at storage (Spreckels) and transporting it to Northminster Presbyterian Church at 315 E. Alvin Drive to organize it all. It's a FUN and crazy day...plus you get first dibs on all the treasures! The fundraising efforts will benefit the students and staff at Lifesong Christian School in Haiti and homeless children and families in need on the Monterey Peninsula.
They are also looking to the community for donations of children's umbrellas, shoes in youth sizes 11-5 (no royal blue or red), and travel-sized deodorant, as requested by the Family Resource Center which serves thousands of vulnerable children in the Salinas City Elementary School District.
The mission of They Are One is to love vulnerable kids by meeting their practical needs, lending resources and gifts, and connecting them with people in the local community. The first priority is to build a long-term relationship with the staff and children of the orphanages and local programs that TAO supports. This is accomplished by connecting face-to-face and coming alongside them in the work they are doing.
