Our Leadership

The Rev. Brian Cleary, Rector

Brian is passionate about connecting the Body of Christ inside the church to the surrounding community. He believes a thriving church offers dynamic family ministry, engaging Christian formation, transformative worship, and lively Christian fellowship. Rev. Brian received his Masters of Divinity degree from The Church Divinity School of the Pacific in 2021.

Brian spent his formative years in Fairfield County Connecticut, growing up in the Episcopal Church. He attended Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts for his undergraduate studies. During his time in college, he lived in Spain, studying at ICADE University in Madrid and working for Mercedes-Benz. After earning a Bachelor of Science in International Business, Brian worked in the pharmaceutical industry before starting his own company, which focused on renewable energy and green construction, in 2007.

Brian heard the call from Jesus in 2011 and became very involved in church ministry in Southwest Florida. For seven years he was a leader in family ministry, outreach, fundraising, mission work, Cursillo, and diocesan programs. In 2017, God called Brian to take a leap of faith and enter discernment for the priesthood. After graduating from seminary, Brian worked as a priest with San Francisco Night Ministry in San Francisco, California, and then became the Rector of All Souls Episcopal Church in late 2022.

Brian is an avid golfer and worked as a PGA teaching professional while living in Marin County, California, during seminary. He enjoys carpentry, landscaping, reading, photography, music and art. At the core of Brian’s ministry is love, that is what God is and calls us to live into. He is excited to walk with you on your journey of faith and is available for any pastoral care you may need.
