Week of May 21
Thank you to our parent reader, Sam’s mom, Allyson!
The Rainbow Family Students will have a field trip to the Grange on Monday! Please drop off and pick up at the Grange. We will transport those who stay for afternoon enrichment back to the church site.
The Rainbow Family’s family-time activities this week are: Monday: An art activity (Decorating jars for our end of year celebration), Wednesday: A math &/or science activity (Caring for our pepper and lettuce seedlings and creating number graphs with ducks and glue) and on Friday: A literacy activity (Creating our ‘F’ & ‘G’ page for our new zoo phonics books).
Our end of year Circle of Friends Celebration will be held with the Green family on Wednesday, June 6 at 11:00 a.m. This will be a minimum day and there is no Afternoon Enrichment
Library Books are now due please have your child bring in their book!
Activities available this week:
Literature: “She’ll be Coming Round the Mountain” by Philemon Sturges, “Everyone Poops” by Taro Gaomi, “Hildegarde and the Great Green Shirt Factory” by Ravay Snow, and “Moira’s Birthday”
by Robert Munsch.
Snack: Veggie Pizza
Art: Outside: We will have easels available and we will create utensil print art.
Science: We will observe and learn about our garden helpers the ladybugs and continue observing our snails and tadpoles.
Blocks: The Rainbow Family students have been building very elaborate block structures. We will also add potato heads to our block building.
