Sunday, June 4: Coffee Hour Forum about
Local Owls and their Habitat, presented by Thomas Luder
I am currently working on my eagle project at Church of the Good Shepherd. My project is focusing on building a series of owl boxes and mounting them around the grounds of the church. These owl boxes provide an ideal home for owls and are bound to attract them. These new owls that would live in the boxes prey on rodents, snakes, and other small animals and I believe that this would serve as an environmentally friendly way to reduce the rodent population at the church that has cost us so much in maintenance and building damage.
I am contacting you to ask for a small donation, less than 10 dollars, to help fund my project. This money would go towards materials for the boxes, like the wood and screws, as well as necessary supplies to help keep the scout workers safe, like face masks and safety glasses. Any and all donations would be much appreciated. Extra funds will be donated towards the preschool to provide materials for education on owls and their lives, hopefully to be used in tandem with the owls inhabiting the boxes. Further donations will be given to the Church itself. -Thomas Luder
